 e Tallaganda Boulders rogaine a great success.&nbsp; The rain even kept awa
 y till after the results had been announced and the gear was packed away in
  record time.&nbsp; Overall winners were Susie Sprague, Selina Stoute and H
 eather Logie.&nbsp; Second overall were women's youth team Sophie Radajewsk
 i and Natalie Miller so the girls ruled the roost.</p><h2><em><a href="navl

 >The 2025 4 hour Winter 'Tallaganda Boulders' rogaine will be held in Talla
 ganda National Park, off Forbes Creek Road. The area features some fantasti
 c bush rogaining territory through the northern areas of Tallaganda Nationa
 l Park, about an hour east of Canberra. </span></p><p><span style="font-fam
 ily: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The course largely consists of native f
 orest, with a few hilly sections and some beautiful creeks throughout. Alti
 tude ranges from about 900m to 1,200m.&nbsp;<span style="font-family: arial
 , helvetica, sans-serif;">The course has been designed with novice loops th
 at use the well-defined features, and more challenging loops for those look
 ing for a physical and navigational challenge.&nbsp;We are delighted to ann
 ounce that Hartley Lifecare is catering this event.</span></span></p><p>The
  start of the events will be 10am on Sunday the 6th of July, concluding at 
 2pm.</p><p>Entries cost $45 full and $36 concession. Under 14 free. No solo
  entries for this event - teams of 2 to 5 people.</p><p>Entries are open no
 w, closing at 11:59 pm Sunday the 29th June without late fees. Entries rece

 ted on private property at <strong>834 Forbes Creek Road</strong>.&nbsp; To
  get there, make your way towards Hoskinstown via Queanbeyan. Turn onto For
 bes Creek Road. From there the road is unsealed and narrow but should be ok
  for 2WD cars. Continue through Forbes Creek towards the National Park. The
 re will be rogaine signs along Forbes Creek Road, as the road bends away at
  times. BEWARE OF THE WILDLIFE ON THE ROAD.&nbsp;</p><p>A google map is&nbs

 ;</p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Registration, Map Availabili
 ty, Start Times</span></strong></p><p>The event will commence by way of a m
 ass start at&nbsp;10am<strong>&nbsp;sharp&nbsp;</strong>on Sunday 6th July,
  with a final briefing at 9:50am.&nbsp; Registration will open at 8.30am.&n
 bsp; Any novice teams can ask for help at any time before the start.</p><p>
 To register, one person only per team to register and collect maps. That pe
 rson will need to bring:</p><ul><li>a first aid kit, so that it can be chec
 ked; see below for what it must contain; and</li><li>completed indemnity fo
 rm for each team member.</li></ul><p>It would also help if you can remember
  your team number!</p><p><strong>Electronic scoring:</strong>&nbsp;As this 
 event is using the Navlight system of scoring, each team will be issued wit
 h 2 wristbands and tags upon registration.</p><p>You will also be given pre
 -marked maps, control descriptions, course setter's notes and a small copy 
 of the map to be used as a flight plan. We recommend that you arrive at lea
 st an hour prior to the start of the event to allow enough time for final p
 reparations and route planning. Each team must mark their intended route on
  the flight plan and hand it in before starting.&nbsp; As mobile reception 
 is poor, we will rely heavily on your flight plan if you are late/need help
 .</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Map and Course 
 Details</span></strong></p><p>There will be one A3 map (445x320mm), 1:25,00
 0 with 10 m contour interval. Magnetic north lines are marked on the map. O
 ut of bounds areas are marked in pink/red shading. The area is native bush.
  The altitude ranges from approximately 900 to 1200 m.&nbsp;</p><p>The map 
 is printed on Teslin paper which is very tough and generally does not need 
 to be covered in contact.&nbsp;</p><p>There are patches of prickly weeds an
 d a few places where the bush is slower travel. There are also a few areas 
 where additional care should be taken as the ground is very rocky under foo
 t. These will be identified in the course notes.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span s
 tyle="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Water</strong></span></p><p>Please bring en
 ough water for Hash House use and for at least <strong>4 hours&nbsp;</stron
 g>on course. There are&nbsp;<strong>no&nbsp;</strong>water drops on course.
  It is also feasible to do loops from the HH to replenish your water.</p><p
 >&nbsp;</p><p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Camping</span></strong
 ></p><p>There is no camping at the HH. The closest official campground is a
 t Mulloon Creek Campground, about 15 minutes to the east (4WD recommended).

 n</strong></span></p><p>Hartley Lifecare will provide food at the HH from 1
 .30pm.&nbsp; Please bring your own plate, bowl, cup and cutlery.</p><p>&nbs

 ne coverage is poor to non-existent across most of the course. Text message
 s are more likely to get through, but mostly from higher areas and to the n
 orth west of the course.</p><p>The Hash House number will be printed on the
  map. There will be a satellite phone at the HH in case of emergencies.</p>
 <p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Restrictions</strong
 ></span></p><p><strong>&nbsp;Summary of Event Rules and Scoring</strong></p
 ><ul><li>The only navigational aids permitted are the maps we provide toget
 her with your compasses.</li><li>Teams consist of 2 to 5 competitors and mu
 st remain within earshot of each other at all times. All members must simul
 taneously get to within 5m of each control point.</li><li>All team members 
 must punch their Navlight tags at each control to score points.</li><li>If 
 a Navlight punch has failed, record the three letter code visible inside th
 e end of the punch.</li><li>Competitors shall carry a whistle at all times 
 whilst on the course. In an emergency a competitor shall give a series of s
 hort blasts on their whistle.&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Any team hearing 
 a distress signal must abandon their course and help in any way needed. No 
 team shall be penalised for any rule breached in the course of giving such 
 help.</li><li>Competitors must not enter out-of-bounds areas; gates must be
  left as found; stock must not be disturbed.</li><li>The organisers may dis
 qualify a team if it acts against these rules or against the spirit of the 
 event.</li><li>A team can retire a member at the hash house. This will fini
 sh that team's event. A new team can form but it must start with zero score
 .</li><li>Late Penalty: 10 points per minute (or part) late. Disqualificati
 on if more than 30 minutes late.</li><li>If teams score equal points then t
 he first team home will have a higher rank.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Please

  style="font-size: 14pt;">Registration, Map Availability, Start Times</span
 ></strong></p><p>The event will commence by way of a mass start at&nbsp;10a
 m<strong>&nbsp;sharp&nbsp;</strong>on Sunday 6th July, with a final briefin
 g at 9:50am.&nbsp; Registration will open at 8.30am.&nbsp; Any novice teams
  can ask for help at any time before the start.</p><p>To register, one pers
 on only per team to register and collect maps. That person will need to bri
 ng:</p><ul><li>a first aid kit, so that it can be checked; see below for wh
 at it must contain; and</li><li>completed indemnity form for each team memb
 er.</li></ul><p>It would also help if you can remember your team number!</p
 ><p><strong>Electronic scoring:</strong>&nbsp;As this event is using the Na
 vlight system of scoring, each team will be issued with 2 wristbands and ta
 gs upon registration.</p><p>You will also be given pre-marked maps, control
  descriptions, course setter's notes and a small copy of the map to be used
  as a flight plan. We recommend that you arrive at least an hour prior to t
 he start of the event to allow enough time for final preparations and route
  planning. Each team must mark their intended route on the flight plan and 
 hand it in before starting.&nbsp; As mobile reception is poor, we will rely
  heavily on your flight plan if you are late/need help.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>
 <strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Map and Course Details</span></stron
 g></p><p>There will be one A3 map (445x320mm), 1:25,000 with 10 m contour i
 nterval. Magnetic north lines are marked on the map. Out of bounds areas ar
 e marked in pink/red shading. The area is native bush. The altitude ranges 
 from approximately 900 to 1200 m.&nbsp;</p><p>The map is printed on Teslin 
 paper which is very tough and generally does not need to be covered in cont
 act.&nbsp;</p><p>There are patches of prickly weeds and a few places where 
 the bush is slower travel. There are also a few areas where additional care
  should be taken as the ground is very rocky under foot. These will be iden
 tified in the course notes.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-size: 14pt
 ;"><strong>Water</strong></span></p><p>Please bring enough water for Hash H
 ouse use and for at least <strong>4 hours&nbsp;</strong>on course. There ar
 e&nbsp;<strong>no&nbsp;</strong>water drops on course. It is also feasible 
 to do loops from the HH to replenish your water.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong
 ><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Camping</span></strong></p><p>There is no c
 amping at the HH. The closest official campground is at Mulloon Creek Campg
 round, about 15 minutes to the east (4WD recommended).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><
 span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Other Information</strong></span></p>
 <p>Hartley Lifecare will provide food at the HH from 1.30pm.&nbsp; Please b

 Mobile Phone Coverage</strong></span></p><p>Mobile phone coverage is poor t
 o non-existent across most of the course. Text messages are more likely to 
 get through, but mostly from higher areas and to the north west of the cour
 se.</p><p>The Hash House number will be printed on the map. There will be a
  satellite phone at the HH in case of emergencies.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span
  style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Restrictions</strong></span></p><p><stron
 g>&nbsp;Summary of Event Rules and Scoring</strong></p><ul><li>The only nav
 igational aids permitted are the maps we provide together with your compass
 es.</li><li>Teams consist of 2 to 5 competitors and must remain within ears
 hot of each other at all times. All members must simultaneously get to with
 in 5m of each control point.</li><li>All team members must punch their Navl
 ight tags at each control to score points.</li><li>If a Navlight punch has 
 failed, record the three letter code visible inside the end of the punch.</
 li><li>Competitors shall carry a whistle at all times whilst on the course.
  In an emergency a competitor shall give a series of short blasts on their 
 whistle.&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong>Any team hearing a distress signal mus
 t abandon their course and help in any way needed. No team shall be penalis
 ed for any rule breached in the course of giving such help.</li><li>Competi
 tors must not enter out-of-bounds areas; gates must be left as found; stock
  must not be disturbed.</li><li>The organisers may disqualify a team if it 
 acts against these rules or against the spirit of the event.</li><li>A team
  can retire a member at the hash house. This will finish that team's event.
  A new team can form but it must start with zero score.</li><li>Late Penalt
 y: 10 points per minute (or part) late. Disqualification if more than 30 mi
 nutes late.</li><li>If teams score equal points then the first team home wi
 ll have a higher rank.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Please see the&nbsp;<a href
