The popular summer twilight event returns to Mt Ainslie and surrounds for 2018. Hash house will be located on the SE side from the Campbell Park Offices carpark. Come join us for the first rogaine of the year, a little light exercise and a snack afterwards. There will be challenges for all, with a good track network for novices and younger/older folk and some classic peaks for those of you on the fitter side.

The rescheduled Spring 6/12 hour rogaine at Tarlo RIver NP went ahead in damp conditions, with 40 teams in the 6 hour and 13 in the 12 hour braving the Towrang bridge crossing with waters still rising at the start of the event.
The rain stopped as the event started with only a couple of light showers during the event. Winners of the 12 hour were Ronnie Taib and David Williams, and the 6 hour were Lee Rice and Craig Cowan.
A big thanks to Jean Douglass and Ron Simpson for their persistence in the face of adversity, to local landholders, particularly Rod McWhirter, and to all the helpers who made the event happen.

The ACT Champs 24 hour and 8 hour events were held on 23-24 April in the high country of Kosciuszko National Park. A fine weekend but very cold overnight for competitors. Over 200 people enjoyed the wide open plains with subtle features but great visibility, and open snow-gum, sallee and mountain ash forests. All controls on the large course were visited meaning people experienced quite a bit of variety including three high country huts.
Results are posted on the event page.

ENTRIES HAVE NOW CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT. The summer twilight event takes in the two adjoining nature parks of Goorooyarroo and Mulligans Flat. These consist of open bush and paddocks. The map will be 1:20,000 with 5 m contours and of orienteering standard. Approx 150 m height difference between the lowest and highest points on the map. There are also lots of tracks and fences that will make your navigating easier. There is a major predator-proof fence in Mulligans Flat and you must only use the gates and make sure they are shut after you. The course will be set to be family-friendly with lots of options close to the Hash House while still allowing those who want a good run around a challenge.
